南京国际青年交流计划

一、主要目的

1.提供外国大学生在南京暑期实习和交流的机会,让外国青年学生亲身体验在华工作、学习、生活的过程,增强外国青年学生对中国及地方省市的亲近感;

2.通过开展实习、交流、参观、访问等活动,让外国青年学生对我国情及南京市情等有全面、真实的了解,同时提升南京城市国际知名度;

3.通过与实习单位内员工的互动交流,增进欧美青年与普通中国人之间的理解和友谊,建立与外国年轻人的长期联系,培养对华友好事业的未来接班人;

4.与我高校在读学生共同实习和开展联谊活动,增进中外大学生之间的交流、了解和友谊。

 

二、主要内容

南京国际青交流计划京市人民政府办,市办和南京相关区承办,南地区高校和市关部门协 动内包括无实习文化体、座和参观访问等。

1.实习:2018 7 月初开始,实习时间为 10 个工作日(两 周),地点为南京开发区内的企业或公司。


 

2.文化、生活体验:外国大学生在宁期间,安排文化体验活动,包括中国传统文化和南京特色文化、南京非物质文化遗产的体验,并安排中国家庭生活体验活动。

3.参观访问:外国大学生在宁期间,安排集体参观南京市内主要历史文化、旅游景点、市容市貌和其他反映我经济社会发展成就的相关设施,同时鼓励外国大学生在中方学生带领下或自行进行参观访问,主办方提供必要的协助。

4.交流座谈:安排中外大学生访问我市部分政府机构、开发区、创新型企业、民营企业并进行座谈,帮助外国大学生了解我政府运作、企业发展等情况;安排户外烧烤、郊游等活动, 增进中外大学生之间的了解和友谊;活动结束时,举办一次中外大学生联谊活动。

 

三、时间、地点和活动规模

南京国际青年流计的所有动于每年暑期办,每一期,活动地均在南京市内企业和相关场该计主要面向来自欧美国家和部分一带一路沿线国家的知 、年满  1830  岁的读大学,每邀请外大学  30 以及等数量中方要来南京地结对展实、体验参访交流等

今年的国际青年交流计划活动将于 2018 7 月初开始,至7 22 日结束,共约 20 天。

 

四、相关安排


 

 

1费用

中外大学生在南京活动期间的食宿、交通、参观访问、保险等费用,由南京市政府承担,但外国大学生往返的国际旅费由其个人承担。

2.申请

外国大学生如欲参与南京国际青年交流计划活动,应向承办方提出申请。经承办方审核同意后,方可最终参加活动。申请截止日期:2018 3 31 日。

承办方有权根据审核标准和学生个人表现,确定最终的入选者名单。凡经所在大学推荐的,优先获得参与资格。

本活动原则上仅限外国籍在校大学生参加。中国在外国留学生提出参与申请的,由承办方个案考虑。

3.对参与者的基本要求

参与国际青年交流计划的外国大学生应遵守中国法律法规,主动配合承办方和接待单位的组织和管理,积极参加活动,确保活动安全、有序。

活动临近结束时,所有参与者应提交一份活动小结。 凡严重违反中国法律法规或本活动相关规定的,承办方有权终止其参与资格,并责令其限期离境。

2018 Nanjing International Youth Exchange Program

 

1.  About Nanjing International Youth Exchange Program (NIYEP)

 

Nanjing is the capital of Jiangsu Province in East China one of the most developed areas in the country. As a world-renowned historic and cultural city, Nanjing boasts its long history and rich resources in S&T, education and transportation with strong economy (appr. 151 billion US dollars in GDP as of 2016). The City covers an area of 6,587 square kilometers with the population of nearly 8.3 million.

 

Starting in 2017, Nanjing International Youth Exchange Program (NIYEP) is sponsored and funded by Nanjing City government. In partnership with companies and universities based in Nanjing, the Program highlights internship and exchange activities designed for college students from selected countries, including the U.S., U.K., Germany, France and Canada. The purpose of the Program is to help foreign college students obtaining personal and in-depth experiences of working and living in China, and looking into overall situations in China and Nanjing through their own eyes. Besides, it helps promote communication and friendship with ordinary Chinese people, particularly the youth in China.

 

2.  Time and Place for the Program

 

This year’s NIYEP will last for about 3 weeks, starting from July 5 to July 23 in 2018. Each foreign student will team with one Chinese companion for better understanding and friendship between them. The Program will be implemented within the city of Nanjing with 10-day internships in local companies.

 

3.  Participants and Requirements

 

NIYEP welcomes students (including undergraduates & postgraduates) from well-known universities in the United States, U.K, Germany, France and Canada. In total, 30 college students will be finally accepted into the Program in 2018.

 

Acceptance Criteria include:

·Having a strong desire for deep understandings of China;

·Preferably specializing in engineering, biotech, biomedicine, smart and high-end manufacturing, electronics, integrated circuits and ICT, AI, MBA, banking and financing, with good academic and behavioral performance at school;


 

 

·Proficiency in English language;

·Good health condition and adaptability to cross-cultural working & living environments;

·Willingness to abide by China's laws and regulations, to accept and comply with administrative rules established by the company/entity offering internships, and to respect all managers and colleagues of the above-mentioned company/entity; and

·Willingness to accept job assignments and do his/her due diligence.

 

4.  Benefits to Participants

·Provide participants with a unique chance to obtain personal experience of working and studying in China;

·Gain access to what’s happening in modern China and cities through your own eyes;

·Improve your skills in engaging with Chinese people by learning more about Chinese culture;

·Offer more career choices for participants after their graduation;

·Establish and enhance communication and exchanges with Chinese university students.

 

5.  Notes

·To apply for NIYEP, an applicant shall submit his/her application, together with a letter of recommendation from the college, school or department in which the applicant is enrolled (see Attachment 1 below);

·Nanjing  city government  covers  expenses  of  accommodation,  domestic transportation

in Nanjingand applicable insurance and other expenses incurred by implementation of the Program, but not including the expenses for international travel;

·No salary or allowance is paid for NIYEP participation, including internships;

·Upon submission of an application, the applicant is deemed as giving his/her consent to comply with the policies and provisions of the Program; any breach of  the Program articles may result in termination of internship and exchange activities in Nanjing.

 

6.  Application Procedures

·Fill in the attached NIYEP Application Form. Each application should consist of a complete application form and attached copies of original academic records, a valid student ID and preferably, a letter of recommendation;

·Send your application via email to charl.ding@163.com. For more information, please contactMr. Ding Zhao, Program Coordinator and Staff Member of Nanjing Foreign Affairs Office.

·Applications will be reviewed in accordance with the aforesaid acceptance criteria, and each applicant will receive a reply, regardless of his/her eligibility for participation;

·The deadline for application is March 31, 2018.
